GA Sailing Team 2008
Glynn Academy and Brunswick High,
the two public high schools in the Golden Isles, each have sailing teams. The teams train, travel and
practice together in the East and Turtle Rivers, but compete as separate teams in Club 420 sailboats in the South Atlantic
Interscholastic Sailing Association (SAISA) www.saisa.org .
The Golden Isles Sailing Club supports the high school sailing programs through coaching, boat repair and maintenance, regatta organization and numerous other details associated with competitive sailing and young people. One of the goals of the Golden Isles Sailing Club is to support area high school sailing programs in an effort to expand interest in sailing to future generations. |
